Since we're on the topic of birthdays, you should tell me when yours is, too.

We should celebrate the three of you together.

Oh no, it's okay. [Holding up her hands again, like that mind help fend off the idea.]

It's fine just celebrating for the boys. We didn't really make that big of a deal of it back home anyway. [She smiles suddenly.] Besides, Conner and I were already planning to do something later that night. Just the two of us.

[Shockingly, the most obvious assumption doesn't immediately come to mind.]

Then Conner already knows?

Yeah. It's funny, actually.

[Korra tilts her head back, thinking.]

We promised each other we'd celebrate our birthdays together way back before we started dating.

[Zatanna wasn't usually the overly-sentimental type...but that was incredibly sweet.]

That is funny.

What kind of plans did you make then?

Not a lot. We're just going to find one of the empty houses, put together something to eat, and...that's it.

[It's not fancy, but after all the craziness that's been happening, Korra's more than ready for a quiet night in with Conner.

She gives Zatanna a soft nudge with her shoulder.]

You still haven't told me when your birthday is. Fair's fair. I told you mine, now it's your turn.

[It was fancy for Haven, and with the little amounts of privacy anyone got on a regular basis, sounded like just the thing.]

May 20th.

So...not for another couple of months. [But also not that far off.]

A couple of months for me to think of a present for you.

[She's definitely taking note of the date, though she still wishes she could write all of them down for reference.]

Not that we can really get too fancy with what we have here.

But when your options are limited, you do tend to get creative.

You have a point. If anyone had told me I'd be using my metalbending to make presents for people before this, I probably wouldn't have believed them.

[She gives Zatanna a grin.]

So... are you and Kon planning to do anything, just the two of you?

[Metalbending. ...you know, Zatanna could do magic, and even she figured something like that could come in handy for presents.]

We have plans.

He just doesn't know it yet.

[Korra laughs softly.]

I bet he'll love that. You'll tell me how it goes later?

[Considering what Zatanna had in store, she didn't see any immediate reason not to share all the comedic details later. Because that was what she was expecting: mostly comedy, with maybe a side of makeouts.]
