[Smiles and then his eyes widen.]

[She settles back into a different position now, leaning against the back of the couch rather than partially on him, legs tucked beneath her]

...hey, wait, I thought Han shot first?

[Raises an eyebrow at the movie; folding her arms in amused protest]

[Gosh, sure got spacey up in this couch.]

Sorry, what now? [Glances back over at the television screen.]

[Oh, don't mind her. Once she's certain he won't be able to hear her heart beating a little faster from that 'demonstration', she'll probably get cozy again.]

Don't tell me you've never heard of the Han Shot First debate?

I have I was just...distracted for a moment, that's all. [Clears his throat.]

Is that so?

[From this angle, she's able to rest her elbow on the back of the couch, placing her head in one hand. Her attention is equally divided between the movie and Robin]

I've heard I can have that affect on people.

[Pause]

...when I hex them, I mean.

[For a second his mind slips over to Wally and he wonders if that who she initially meant. Though really, at this point he can't get too worked up over that. He went out on another date himself.]

I'll take your word for it.

[Flicks his gaze back over to the television screen, so he can push away those potentially awkward inducing thoughts and roll with the jokes being made on screen.]

[...well, crap. That wasn't the reaction she'd been hoping for. It only dawned on her after the fact that maybe things weren't quite as aster between them as she'd first thought. Not yet.]

[Shoulders slumping, her voice softens]

I didn't mean it like that, Robin.

I was just joking.

[Dick looks over at her and shakes his head.]

Sorry, I was just having a lame moment. I know you were.

[Offers her an encouraging smile.]

[Looking more than a little relieved, she leans in just enough to kiss his cheek, much as he had done to her before. Only lingering just a little bit longer so she can murmur:]

I'm sorry too.

I guess I should really watch what I say sometimes.

[There's that sheepish grin again and there's some color in his cheeks.]

You can say whatever you want because you're doing that whole distracting thing again.

Am I?

[A soft giggle. Not yet pulling away.]

Is that a good thing?

[Turns his face to the side and their noses are almost touching as he looks at her.]

Definitely.

[Well, no point in trying to hide her rapidly beating heart now. Not when she could feel his breath on her lips like that.]

So...if I kept on distracting you...

[She trails off]

You could say or do whatever you want.

[Hi there, butterflies in his stomach. Where did you all come from? When his eyes meet hers he's pretty sure he knows where they all came from.]

[She definitely knows where hers are coming from.]

You mean like this?

[Closing the gap, she lightly brushes her lips against his. So lightly, it's as if they're barely touching.]

[Initially there's some hesitation on his end. His mind flashes through everything that's happened in the past couple of weeks. The highs and the lows. He thinks back to his date with Rose and what she said to him "you should find your happiness with her."

That date had had all kinds of ups and downs, some things came very easily and other things were confusing and awkward. But right here, right now, everything seemed so simple and right.]

Just like that. [Murmurs his response as he closes his eyes over and presses his lips against hers.]

[There was a pleasant chill that ran up her spine when he returned the kiss. Chaste, but heavy with unspoken words and feelings. So different from the one she had shared with Wally, because this time, it was real.]

[As she pulls away, her fingers lightly brush up and down his arm.]

You're not so bad at this distraction thing, either.

It's-it's because, you know, because...

[Why are words so hard when she's running her hand along his arm and his lips are tingling? Oh,right, feelings. They make everything confusing but in this case, also very nice.]

I don't know where I was going with that. Probably something about my training and disappearing into shadows.

[Zatanna was just plain tired of all the confusion and uncertainties. To her, this was a good step in the right direction.]

Sounds like a fun story. I'd love to hear it sometime.

Speaking of stories, I think these fine robotic gentlemen are trying to tell us one.

[Leans back into the couch and his arm goes around her once more. This was a step in the right direction. Neither of them were declaring their undying love or dissect their every word and thoughts. It was fun, a little silly, and all kinds of warm and fuzzy.]

[She's leaning against his side fully now, head partially resting on his shoulder. Warm and fuzzy described the situation perfectly, with a side helping of genuine fondness. They were both far too young for anything more serious than that...but that didn't make the fondness any less genuine.]

Oh, I remember this part.

This is where they spend the rest of the movie...and part of the next one...declaring their eternal guy love for Porkins.

[Tilts his head so that his cheek is now resting on the top of her head.]

I can't say I blame them. Did you know he earned a Kenobi medal? I'd declare my eternal love for him but I heard that...he has a problem.
