The past week has been an interesting one, lots of stuff to think about.

[There's been both the good and bad. The bad he can't talk about because it's not his story to tell.

Besides, he'd rather enjoy her warmth right now and dwell on things.]

I promise I'll tell you about it in a couple of days. Tonight I was hoping to relax and spend time in your company.

[She nods, knowing that when he says he'll tell her, he'll tell her. Another hug, a kiss on the cheek, and she shifts so that she's leaning against him in what was becoming their usual movie-watching position]

You have my slightly-divided attention.

[Slings his arm around her shoulder and leans into her.]

Slightly-divided, huh? I'd ask what I could do to get your entire attention but I was the one who suggested watching a movie.

And you know I'm not one to brag, but this is a pretty good one.

Honestly? I'd be good with whatever right now but I'm all for a pretty good one too. [Relaxes and closes his eyes over for a few moments.]

[She catches a glimpse of this out of the corner of her eye. Obviously, he has only the faintest intention of actually watching the movie. Her curiosity almost gets the better of her, but she knew him well enough not to ask. He said he would tell her, and she would wait until he was ready.]

[In the meanwhile, she lightly weaves her fingers through his hair in a soothing manner. Lightly brushing his forever wild bangs from his forehead.]

Did you hear about the Prom they're actually going to attempt to hold this month?

[A relatively neutral, yet still interesting change of topic]

Apparently, Wally got nominated for Prom King.

[A smile quickly finds it's way on his face when she begins to play with his hair. Lazily moves his head in whatever direction her hand goes.]

Haha, seriously?

[Opens up one eye and looks over at her.]

Actually, I'm not that surprised. He's a friendly guy and seems to know a lot of people here.

[Then she'll just keeping playing with random locks of hair until her arm starts to get tried.]

Mm-hmm. Artemis was nominated for Queen, too.

[Technically, so was Zatanna, but she didn't really care about that.]

I might actually even vote for them.

[Closes his eye over again and rests his cheek on the top of her head.]

Does that mean you're planning on going?

Depends.

Whether or not someone asked me.

[Opens up his eyes and reaches up for her hand that is running through his hair. Laces their fingers together and squeezes her hand.]

I don't think I can technically ask you, since I go to school as Dick and not Robin, but I'd love to go with you all the same.

[She's not the least bit surprised by either his action or his admission. Smiling, she leans in for a light kiss on the lips.]

If we can't go together, we can always have our own party somewhere else.

We can or you can ask me. [Grins at her and then returns the kiss.]

I suppose I could.

[/teasingly]

[She gives a small laugh, sitting back so she can smile up at him.]

So what do you say? You, me, and the undead?

[Returns the smile and leans in for another kiss. When he pulls back, he can't stop himself from going.]

I've heard people are dying to go.

[She gives a half-laugh, half groan, closing her eyes and turning her head away for a moment so he wouldn't think she was encouraging her.]

It's gonna be a killer night, that's for sure.

[...even though she was.]

[She is and he approves.]

I don't doubt it, I hear the people who are financing the prom are low-dead.

[This is why they shouldn't be left alone unsupervised]

Bet they're going to be livid when they get the bill next month.

There's no bones about it.

Haha. Very humerus.

[Snickers and then he stretches out. He doesn't look like he's as exhausted as she was when she locked herself away in the library, but he does look sleepy.

Leans back in the couch and returns to cuddling with her.]

So yeah, it sounds like it will be a fun evening.
